Introducing Lemonlight’s New Video Production Platform

When Lemonlight was founded in 2014, our mission was to make video content more accessible to small and mid-sized businesses. Since then, we’ve become one the largest branded content providers in the world. 

After revolutionizing how video is bought and sold, we’re now marrying the art of science and video production. Our renewed mission is to transform and elevate the video production experience for industry professionals and our clientele.

In pursuit of that aim, we’re thrilled to announce our new digital production platform, a one-stop-shop for crafting a highly effective content strategy and producing new content from scratch.

Here are just a few of the key benefits the platform offers for Lemonlight clients.   

Online Purchase Options

 The video production industry isn’t designed for e-commerce capabilities that allow clients to purchase video packages autonomously. So, we led the way with video packages and add-ons (like drone footage or extra time on set) that can be purchased online—no phone call necessary. 

While giving us a call for custom recommendations is always an option, this feature makes the project kickoff process much easier for clients that already know what they need. For our in-between clients who just need a nudge in the right direction, we have detailed descriptions of each video type and style—and the situations they serve best. These content strategy recommendations allow clients to understand how each video might serve their needs and align with their goals in the short- and long-term.  

Streamlined Communication

Traditionally, clients and production teams manage project details through a combination of emails, phone calls, and updates to documentation like creative briefs or production contracts. Both sides have countless channels to monitor to ensure that communication is kept up and the necessary information is always accurate.  

Our platform solves this problem by centralizing all production-related information. Internal and external teams all input and update information in the same place, eliminating the need for one-off communication threads. Everything takes place in the platform, and past messages and documents are easily accessible—no more frantic searches for the email thread from two months ago. 

This is especially useful for clients with repeat projects. Past projects are linked to each client-side user profile, so it’s quick and painless to access details from a completed production.

At-a-Glance Status Updates

Last but not least, our team can prompt client teams for information as-needed, giving users a notification that there are action items awaiting their attention. This also serves as a tracking system, so users can see their production timeline at a glance and review the status at any given moment.



We’re currently wrapping up beta testing in anticipation of launching the platform more widely this fall. Our beta clients have already benefited tremendously from the streamlined process, and we look forward to rolling out this exciting tool for all of our clients.
