The psychology of fashion becomes a silent but powerful storyteller in the world of advertising. Every stitch, color, and accessory meticulously chosen by a wardrobe stylist holds the key to conveying messages, emotions, and brand identities. Fashion, when skillfully harnessed, becomes a language of its own, shaping the narrative and influencing our perceptions.

In this Crew Spotlight, we’re interviewing Tami Daylami, an accomplished wardrobe stylist who has lent her artistry to Lemonlight for the past year. Tami offers a captivating glimpse into the intriguing interplay of wardrobe styling and video production, where garments become instruments of persuasion and charisma on the visual stage. Check out the full interview below:

How long have you worked with Lemonlight?
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Lemonlight for a year now.

What’s been the best part about working with Lemonlight?
Without a doubt, it’s the crew. The collaboration fosters a unique and productive environment where everyone’s expertise combines to produce amazing content.

Can you share a behind-the-scenes story or anecdote from a project that you think best represents the video production process at Lemonlight?
I don’t have any one story from any one project, because every project with Lemonlight is a testament to collective dedication. Whether it’s dealing with unpredictable weather, logistical delays, or any number of unexpected challenges, the crew consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the final product exceeds our client’s expectations.

Why do you love the video production industry?
Every day is different. There’s always a new location, client, or project. Even though I’m essentially doing the same job, the diversity of experiences keeps it fresh and exciting.

What’s your favorite crew meal/snack?
Definitely Mexican food!

How has working at Lemonlight influenced or shaped your approach to video production overall?
Working in a tight-knit team environment at Lemonlight has given me a profound understanding of the various roles on set. Witnessing the details and challenges from everyone’s perspective has raised my appreciation for the collective effort it takes to create exceptional content.

Do you have any advice for those just starting in the industry?
Be kind. In this industry, you meet countless individuals on set, and you may encounter someone who’s had a tough day or week. They might not always be the friendliest on day one, but don’t let that sway you. Remain your kind self, and they’ll remember and appreciate that. Your attitude can make a significant difference in building lasting professional relationships.
