We work with so many amazing organizations in different industries and fields. It’s inspiring to see all sorts of businesses use the power of video to their benefit. No matter what type of company you are or what field you work in, you have a story to tell.
The healthcare industry in particular has some amazing stories to tell. Doctors and health professionals work painstakingly hard to cure and heal patients day in and day out, and yet, on top of all the challenging work they do, they’re also often responsible for things like marketing and promotion themselves. Together, this can be a difficult undertaking.
That’s why video can be such a strong resource for healthcare professionals. Because of the personal touch video brings to the table, doctors can use video to make patients feel welcomed, comfortable, and at ease when choosing them for their care.
We’ve had the privilege of working with quite a few clients in the medical industry. Here are a handful of our favorites, along with a few tips on how the videos we created helped those healthcare professionals achieve their marketing goals.
Palmetto Health is the largest and most comprehensive integrated health care system in the South Carolina Midlands region. They wanted to create a video promoting a new service called Smart Exam to engage web visitors who are looking for healthcare fast from the doctors they trust.
We created this animated brand video to both introduce and explain how SmartExam works, while promoting the core principles of Palmetto Health: convenient, affordable, high-quality care. With the goal of promoting SmartExam to new visitors, this video perfectly did the trick!
Starlight Childrend’s Foundation is a nonprofit organization focusing on providing entertainment, education, and technology for hospitalized kids and their families. While not a medical organization themselves, Starlight wanted to create this documentary-style brand video promoting a collaboration with arts and crafts retailer Michaels to engage potential donors looking to get involved.
Michaels generously donated six original designs and over 10,000 hospital gowns to Starlight so they could launch this new program to brighten the lives of children. To cover the effort, we conducted interviews with Michaels staff, Starlight staff, and a few kids to show all sides of the action. What better way to engage with donors than showing your organization in action?
NuevaCare is a home care agency that provides Alzheimer’s care in the Bay Area. We worked with them to create a series of videos to attract new audiences and nurture potential prospects by running a series of pre-roll ads.
We created this 30-second, interview-style commercial to highlight the individual attention each patient receives from NuevaCare’s expert caregivers. By showing both caregiving in action, alongside a family member testimonial, this video tugs at a viewer’s heartstrings, encouraging them to learn more about the company, and nurturing interested parties by providing a personal story they can connect with, keeping NuevaCare top of mind.
Emory Healthcare is one of the largest and most comprehensive hospital systems in Atlanta, Georgia. Emory wanted to create a video to attract and engage with potential patients and raise awareness, so they created an educational video to inform viewers about when it’s time to go to the hospital – versus urgent care, a minute clinic, or your primary care provider.
By choosing to create an educational video, Emory was able to address an issue that is relevant to both patients AND the medical industry at large. By creating a video with a clickable functionality, they were able to succeed in their goal of attracting and engaging patients with a clear call to action. Not everyone who they attracted would immediately become a patient, but if they chose to click through, they would get valuable information and see Emory as a trusted information source.
Whether you work at a hospital, run your own practice, or run your own charity organization, everyone can use video to better achieve their online marketing goals.
Just think about the ways you can use an educational video to attract patients, or a brand video to engage with web visitors. Patient testimonials are another great tool for healthcare providers to both attract, engage, and even nurture people interested in your services.
